Etymology of the word Graffiti
Graffiti and graffito are from the Italian word graffiato ("scratched"). "Graffiti" is applied in art history to works of art produced by scratching a design into a surface.

A related term is "graffito," which involves scratching through one layer of pigment to reveal another beneath it. This technique was primarily used by potters who would glaze their wares and then scratch a design into it. In ancient times, graffiti was carved on walls with a sharp object, although sometimes chalk or coal were used. The Greek infinitive γράφειν - graphein - meaning "to write," is from the same root.

My name is Penny Pan..... and I go to the 1st Grade of the 3rd senior High School in Athens.

My favorite school subjects are Maths and Chemistry and I spend my time playing basketball in the team of my town, N. Philadelphia.

As regards foreign languages, I’ have been learning English for about six years and French for about four years.

My aspirations are high, I want to go up. I would like to have fun in class forever in my life. I also believe that school isn’t only a place to connect with others but also to develop yourself.

I spend time listening to music or reading books. I’m a little noisy and curious. I love traveling abroad and meet other people.

Alexandros Ant...dis

Μy name is Alexandros. I was born in 1989 in Maroussi, Athens, thus I bear 18 years on my back. I live in New Philadelphia, a northern suburb of Athens and I 'll study Communication and Mass Media (journalism) at the National University of Athens.

My family consists of four people: my father, my mother, my older brother and… myself! My father has retired, while my mother has a successful career as a nurse at the local hospital. My 23-year old brother, works as an employee in the public domain and as a basketball coach as well.

As concerns myself, I’m a member of a basketball team and I dedicate a lot of my leisure time in this activity of mine.

Furthermore, I study English in a private school, aiming to sit for the CPE exams. As I mentioned above, every day (except for weekend) I have to go the center to attend my journalism lessons. Last but not least, when I have spare time, I prefer watching movies, going out with friends or listening to music and… accompanying the singer by singing!

If I was told to characterize myself, I would say that I am very ambitious and optimistic about the future. I believe in my abilities and I think that my relatives do as well. To be honest, I am very selfish and sometimes stubborn. I tell the truth, even if it may hurt the others. I love my family, my real friends and like every man around the globe… sports and women!!

I’m Konstantina Pap..... and I’m sixteen years old. I live in Nea Filadelfia, Athens with my parents and my older brother. I go to the second grade of the third senior high school "Miltos Kountouras".

My favourite subjects are History and Physics.
What about school I think is the place where the students should know each other and learn things about the world that they are interested in and a place to be punished at.

I’m a rather quiet person although sometimes I feel like a bomb ready to expose. Moreover I like spend my time with my friends and I love nature where I feel well-balanced.

I like homely, pleasant and communicative people, however sometimes people’s thoughts and feelings are a big question to me.

Last but not least; my dream is to travel a lot as my spirit is adventuring but in the end I want to find a place to stay and relax!

My name is Anastasia and I am a girl about 16 years old. I am living in Nea Philadelphia, a suburb 9 km away from the centre of Athens in Greece.

I am studying in high school. I have a family of 4 members: my father, my mother, my sister who is 5 years younger and me. I think I am a dynamic personality.

I believe in friendship, so I have a lot of friends, but only with few of them I am a best friend.

I love being with many people who love me and I want to help them when they needed. In two years I want to go to university and study medicine in order to be a bacteriologist.

My aspiration is to become a successful doctor. My dream is to buy a cottage in Côte d’ Azur (French Riviera) with a marvellous access directly to the sea and live there all year long.
